Opening Ceremony

Play ball! Join fellow attendees, NCACC staff, and the host county at the NCACC Annual Conference Opening Ceremony on Thursday, August 20, from 10:00-10:45 a.m.

First Night Celebration — Hosted by NC Cooperative Extension

Close out the first day of conference at the First Night Celebration hosted by NC Cooperative Extension! This meal isn’t your typical ballpark hot dog — NC Cooperative Extension sources food for the evening from local North Carolina farms to curate a special menu.


Before dinner, be sure to swing into the exhibition hall where NC Cooperative Extension will have educational activities and displays. Learn about agromedicine, honey bees, oyster farming, and so much more!

Off-Site Tours

Keep the conference experience in full swing with two engaging off-site tours showcasing Durham County on Friday, August 21, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Seating is limited for both tours, and registration is required.


The off-site tours will be announced soon, and registration for the tours will open at that time.

“Stuff the Bus” 2026

Help make this year’s conference a home run for local students by supporting the “Stuff the Bus” donation drive hosted by the NC Association of County Clerks. School supplies can be dropped off at check-in, or donations can be made online.

The Durham Convention & Visitors Bureau has stepped up to the plate with a curated lineup of local restaurants, attractions, and downtown favorites for conference attendees to explore during their stay. From Durham’s celebrated food scene to unique local experiences, there are plenty of ways to round the bases and enjoy everything the Bull City has to offer beyond the conference schedule.

NCACC Annual Business Session

Every team needs a game plan. Let your county voice be heard at the NCACC Annual Business Session on Saturday, August 22, as counties come together for leadership elections, Association updates, and discussion of key priorities.


At this session, elections will be held for NCACC leadership positions, notably the NCACC Second Vice President. The agenda will also include remarks from NCACC Executive Director Kevin Leonard and NCACC Executive Officers.

President’s Banquet & New President’s Reception

Join NCACC in honoring our all-star membership at the President’s Banquet & New President’s Reception on Saturday, August 22. We will recognize the leadership of NCACC President and Perquimans County Commissioner Wallace Nelson for his term as Association President and celebrate newly elected NCACC President and Hoke County Commissioner Allen Thomas.


During the program, NCACC award recipients for the M.H. “Jack” Brock Outstanding County Commissioner Award, NCACC Hall of Fame, Friend of the Counties Award, and Distinguished Service Award will also be recognized.
